Hello all. I’m new to Opencart so forgive me if this is a stupid question.

I have just set up a new site using the latest OC version, I am also using a third party module called Excelport to import 2000+ products from an Excel file. Everything has worked perfectly apart from the product image.

The images for each product are on a third party server (it has to be this way), and I am referencing them using absolute paths (http://www.pathtoimage.com/images/image.jpg). The issue is that they dont show at all in my shop - ive inspected the html and the src is empty eg:

<img src="" alt=“test alt tag" title=“test title" class="img-responsive”>

Is it possible to use absolute paths to different domains in OC3? Ive seen an old version of the site built in 1.5 and its working in that one. Any help appreciated, completely baffled.

Well, everything is possible, technically at least, but you are asking for something rather specific,
and such usually does not come for free. Especially not for latest OC-Versions, their Job is, to frequently
enable Coders, to generate some sales, and so also enable (free) OC, to stay alive and well.
Good Luck! ;)

One of them, but there may be others as well:
Online image (Remote image) paid, OC v.2.0.x - 3.0.2.x:
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=26681
---
Image
---
And one for Versions v.1.5.4 up to 2.0.3:
Set product image from URL paid, OC v.1.5.4 - 2.0.3.x:
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=24743

Thanks for your reply but I need to be able to do this for thousands of products imported from Excel.

Found a solution here:
