Hello friends
I hope you are fine
I have a content site and I want to launch a department store, but I have over 5000 products.
I want to launch a department store with opencart; of course, my blog's section is WordPress
Is this possible?
Thanks for the advice

You'd better use WooCommerce extension for WordPress instead of OpenCart.

launch the worpdress on root directory i.e. www.example.com & Operncart in sub directory like shop (www.example.com/shop)

One more question
Is it better to use a subdomain or to fix it under the main domain of the store?
If you check my site, see which one is better

Just the case when someone else find this thread and want to install Wordpress AND OpenCart on the same server.
Never do that!
Why?
If you look here around, search the Internet, read security news, you may find articles about "hacked/infected" OpenCart Webshops.
But the true is, that OpenCart itself is secure!
The reason why OpenCart becomes unsecure IS Wordpress and extension/themes/etc. for WordPress from dubious sources (just for not paying the price for it).
Or WP extensiosn are old(er) and not updated.
These scripts are the open door for hackers.
WP itself is a "Welcome Hacker" package.
Conclusion is: never install OpenCart and WordPress on the same server!
And if you must (why?), look to keep WP always updated.
