Is it possible to make so the reward points is available 12 months after you get them?

While this is an interesting request, it would require an extension from the Marketplace. While other forum supporters might provide other pointers or views on this, I may not be able to provide a direct link to an extension that may respond to your request specifically but, again, saying that it might a good idea for its use since the reward points does have its dependencies with customer groups where many features could be developed for the buyers in the future with recurring periods.
