Good morning Everybody

I am trying to create a multi store in my opencart shop.
domain name is http://eshopstudio.cz and i created a subdomain names test so the subdomain is store2.eshopstudio.cz

Then I create second store in Opencart settings.

When I try to open the substore I am getting an error message 403 Forbidden.

Later on I contacted hosting company and they told me I must install opencart for sub domain also but when I read the article related sub store in opencart they mentioned I need not to install opencart in subdomain folder also.

Can you give me a small idea. It will be very helpful for me.

Thank you so much

Kind Regards,

If using multi store your subdomain needs to have the same Document Root as your main domain.

Thank you so much for your kind information.

My primary domain document root is Public_html
Subdomain root is Public_html/store2/

Later I made set Dns under domain

is it right of wrong ?

Thank you.
Best Regards.

As it says here. http://docs.opencart.com/en-gb/administ ... lti-store/
You should create a new folder for the subdomain, under Subdomain. In the root directory, link the subdomain to the path where the default store was installed to. For example, if the default store had been installed under "public_html/opencart", the new subdomain (opencart2) should be created under "public_html/opencart".
If your main domain web root is public_html then your subdomain web root also need to be public_html. Not public_html/store2.

First, you put domain document of your second store in Public_html (same as your domain) then try to edit folder permission in 2 steps:
1. File permission > apply to directories only> set 755
2. File permission > apply to files only > set 644
Now go check your 2nd store
