I haven't upgraded opencart, i just woke up and noticed my site looked different and then realised all my vqmod aren't working. Everything seems fine with vqmod because with the vqmod manager i can see the xml files and there are files in the vqcache probably from before it stopped working. I also upgraded my vqmod to 2.3.0 to see if it will fix the problem, but that didn't work... I also searched on the forum and decided to run the installer again because i changed my admin folder name, although i changed this a long time ago and vqmod has been working well since then.. But that didn't fix the problem as well, i go an error saying VQMOD has already been installed. I'm left with no option how to figure this out because theres no error in opencart error log or vqmod error log, even on my host side.

I just check the permission of my vqcache folder and its 755 so i changed to 777 but nothing changes. Vqmod has been working correctly without problems since i installed it months ago and just two days ago it stopped working.

Try to remove all files on vqcache, then see if there are errors that arise.
backup all files first.

Actually i did that earlier and nothing changed still but then i noticed that when i make changes to my .tpl files they do not appear on my store front, even after several page reload and clearing browser cache and even clearing opencart cache, nothing shows on the storefront. But when i make changes to my stylesheet the changes appear on the storefront. This is really frustrating has i don't have a single idea what the problem could be, i would really appreciate some help here. thanks.

I have had this in the past with previous hosting wich has direct admin.
Hosting company did work on server and did a restore with local files.
now apache has file owners and file groups.
if you use ftp you can see these in your browser.
normaly you are owner and group represented by same number.
on direct admin servers after a restore files belong to owner and group apache and you are not the owner of files and not able to change.

you can test this by making a backup using ftp.
delete a file
upload file.
now you wil see a difference in nimber under owner.
if this is different to the other files you have this problem.
now delete all files and reupload your backup.
set file permissions on folders as required and everything should work again.

I've just checked now, the permissions on folders are not different, they are the same and all permissions were set correctly.

I've installed osticket in a separate folder on the same root, so i decided to make changes to the files in that folder and they seem to be working without even a refreshing the page.. So now am guessing its not a problem with the hosting but something to do with opencart or not?

Just to update and incase someone else might need this.

The error was caused by my hosting as they moved my space so that changed my root directory path..

It was fixed by changing the paths in the configuration files.
