Just to let you know: PHP 8.2 has finally been released, and I just tested it successfully using the 3.0.x.x_Maintenance branch. So far it's the only OpenCart version compatible with PHP 8.2.

Hopefully the master branch will add support for PHP 8.2, too, in the near future. I submitted a pull-request for this, and tested it again successfully today with the final PHP 8.2 release.

And I hope that straightlight will add support for PHP 8.2 for the opencart-3 repository, too.
Once the official PHP 8.2 solution gets integrated, I'll surely follow along with the MB.

Dedication and passion goes to those who are able to push and merge a project.

I use OC 3.0.3.8 default version. Could I just upload the content of 3.0.x.x_Maintenance version so it will overwrite my OC version for an update?

Yes, that's how I have already done it on several websites without any problems.

Skip config.php, admin/config.php, php.ini, and .htaccess

If you have modified index.php (e.g. because of VQmod), you'd also have to re-run the VQmod install.

I noticed that you cannot select PHP 8.2 in DirectAdmin. Tried with your OC version and PHP 8.1, but without success. Changed back to PHP7.4 and it works again. Should there be issues with your version and PHP8.1?

It works fine with PHP 8.1. If you have issues with then provide more details about the errors you get.

I get a HTTP ERROR 500. I think it might be issues with some of the installed extensions I use. I cleared the storage/modification folder and did not rebuild it and the error was gone.
