You will need to give more details than you have. The correct mail settings are dependent on your mail provider.
Thank you very much.
I already solved it right away.
I make a setting for mijndomein.nl what worked for me.
OC mail instellingen mijndomein.nl
Mail engine -Mail
Mail parameters -Empty
SMTP hostnaam -mail.mijndomein.nl
SMTP gebruikersnaam -bestelling@jewinkelnaam.nl
SMTP wachtwoord -*******
SMTP poort -465
SMTP time-out -5

When Mail engine is set to Mail only the Mail parameters setting is used.
I would recommend you use an online email deliverability checker to check your host has everything set up correctly.

You can also contact your host support or check in your host console for your email server settings.

What version of PHP are you using?
Try and work out what changed before it stopped working.
Check both you PHP and OpenCart error logs for errors.
Check with your host if they allow and have configured the PHP mail function.
Try using SMTP as the Mail Engine. You will need to use ssl:// in front of the hostname with port 465.

The mail class would need updating for PHP 8. Try the latest version from the 3.0.x.x_Maintenance branch on GitHub.
