Is there a module out there that is compatible with OC 3.0.3.8 and Journal3 that enables users to select if they are a company or person when registering and with custom fields in address?
Or maybe just enable users to select from customer groups and have custom fields in billing address based on the group they select.

Doesn't' sound like you need an extension for that. You should be able to add a Customer Group and enable it in the Customer Groups in the Option Tab in the main settings. Then add a customer field for that customer group.

Or is it something different you are after?

That's right but I also need customers to be able to select to which customer group they register, for example "company" or "persons"

You just need to enable the groups in the Customer Groups option in the Option Tab in the main settings.
